  • Overview

    This position is primarily responsible for the supervision of all Divisional Finance activities for the Company, including budgeting management, financial planning and reporting, forecasting, acquisition modeling, and hiring and training. The Director Corporate FP&A will liaise between the finance professionals in the Divisions and the Corporate Office. This position will frequently travel, visiting the various division offices and finance personnel across the organization.

    Primary Duties & Responsibilities

    • Ensures full staffing in the Divisions with A+ talent
    • Trains and onboards all FP&A new hires
    • Coordinates monthly forecasting process with 16 Divisions and Corporate
    • Performs analysis of potential issues with, or opportunities for, improvement with forecasts
    • Coordinates with Division Presidents and division FP&A to ensure forecasts maximize profitability opportunities
    • Collaborates with Corporate accounting and land accounting teams to ensure that accounting procedures are followed at the Division level
    • Coordinates content and logistics for annual FP&A meeting
    • Manages Corporate FP&A team
    • Assists with M&A processes from initial due diligence and valuation stage through to integration
    • Assists CEO/CFO with annual plan development, quarterly earnings calls, quarterly Board material preparation and quarterly budget meetings
    • Coordinates with Divisions on land strategy and forward looking growth plans
    • Ensures continual improvement on Corporate and Divisional reporting and analysis
    • Ensures continual improvement on Divisional processes and best practices

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required
    • 7-10 years of relevant experience
    • Experience with a large public homebuilder is preferred

    Skills & Abilities

    • Strong leadership and management skills

    Technical Knowledge & Experience

    • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook

    Physical Requirements

    • Typical office environment
    • Frequent travel to Divisions is required
